100 firefighters battle wood finishing blaze – woodworkingnetwork.com

LOUISVILLE – A three-alarm fire destroyed Anderson Finishing’s 80,000-square-foot wood ending up plant on August 27. The structure was a total loss.

Stimulated by a lightning strike, officials state the fire was made even worse by the plant’s solvents, chemicals, as well as paints. Greater than 100 firemens were needed.

No injuries were reported.

Anderson focuses on completing strong timber and composite product for furnishings, moulding, stairway components, cabinets, casegoods, and also flooring. The firm is partnered with Anderson Wood Products, a manufacturer of wood component parts.
